Hi, I’m Emily.

I’m 27 years old. I live in Baton Rouge with my husband, Nicholas, and my cat, Nova.

I graduated from Tulane University in 2021 with a BA in English and a concentration in Creative Writing. Currently, I’m pursuing an MFA at Bennington Writing Seminars.

My work includes a short story collection called Ugly Good, which won A Studio in the Woods Residency. Also, an astrological fantasy trilogy and two literary fictions that wish they were published. Sam Watts is Fine is about a washed-up equestrian who moves back to the family farm to relive past mistakes and uncovers insidious family secrets. In Lightningblood, a bewildered college freshman becomes obsessed with her Gatsby-esque teammate and pursues a boundary-blurring friendship through liquor and fire, which will either teach her the difference between love and possession, or destroy her.

I’m currently writing short stories, and will begin drafting my sixth novel in November.
